  • Cape Tech High School is the first and only high school in the state to begin offering a Coast Guard JROTC program starting September 2027.  This is open to current, enrolling students, and transfer high school students for the 27/28 school year.

    • Cape Tech is hosting 2 info sessions, November 10th & December 10th at 5:00pm to share program details with potential candidates.  Please feel free to attend and share with the community

    • “A Thread Through History” The Longest Yarn Documentary Film has been filmed in 5 different countries (America, France, England, Germany and Belgium) and is epic in scope. “A Thread Through History” Premiered at The National Constitution Center in Philadelphia, May 15th, 2026.

    •  ​The Longest Yarn is a story about the D-Day Invasion, The Allied campaign to defeat Germany and the cost of victory, The long term collateral damage to Europe and members of the allied forces, the bonds between the allied forces and people that supported them, veterans of World War II and their family members who served their countries after them, the complexities of some of these relationships and the importance/significance of The Longest Yarn Tapestry a massive, 80-meter (265-foot) traveling wool tapestry created by global volunteers to commemorate the 80th anniversary of D-Day and it’s journey/exhibitions through out Europe and The United States.  NO FLYER

WISE is a 7-week program for older adults to help celebrate healthy aging (substance misuse prevention, mental health, etc.).   • November 7th  from 12-2PM - The Lighthouse Church in Cape May Court House will host THRIVE: Hope & Healing for Grieving Children. 

    • This is a program for children ages 6–17 who have experienced the loss of a loved one. We know how needed child grief support is in Cape May County and want to share these promotional materials with you, in the hope that you will share with any family who may be struggling. We host an annual summer camp as well as quarterly events so our THRIVE community has access to ongoing support throughout the year.

    • Since childhood grief is often hidden, many families don’t know where to turn for support. Our goal is simply to come alongside children by providing a safe community where they can connect with others who understand, learn healthy coping skills, and discover they are not alone.

  • NAMI Atlantic Cape May to Offer Free Family-to-Family Education Program Beginning September 8

    •  Atlantic & Cape May Counties, NJ — NAMI Atlantic Cape May is now accepting registrations for its nationally recognized Family-to-Family education program, a free course designed for family members, partners, and friends of adults living with mental health conditions.

    •  The eight-week program will be held every Tuesday evening from September 8th through October 27nd, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00    See the Flyer for more details!

  • To honor the upcoming Veterans Day, Wesley By The Bay, part of the United Methodist Communities in Ocean City is holding a Have a Heart Initiative is asking for the support of local businesses/vendors by donating NEW items of winter weather clothing. These donations are for the homeless Veterans in Cape May County. This campaign, Warm Hearts For Veterans is the sister campaign of Have a Heart For Veterans which occurs on Valentine’s Day.

    • New items can be: Men’s or women's winter coats/jackets, Winter socks, gloves, hats, scarves, Thermal/flannel shirts, Long Johns, Hand or Feet warmers, Back packs, Gift Certificates to McDonalds, 7/11 or Dunkin Donuts.

    • There is currently a large need to help Veterans that are homeless and numerous donations are needed. As the winter months approach, providing these much-needed items would be so helpful.       • We are planning for up to 110 community focused organizations to join us for our 5th annual Community Resource Day – CRD 2027! 

      • We will be reaching out to organizations in early September to begin the signup process for CRD 2027.
